The dear deer family, in the yard this morning, welcoming us home from our camping trip.
As I watched them prune my Himalayan Huckleberry I wondered why I didn't care. Actually, I know why I don't mind sharing my flowers and veggies.
The deer is such a beautiful creature, it is a blessing to be able to watch them from our kitchen window, deck or wherever they happen to land.

This is our last trip of the year. We camped at Ohanapecosh. We hiked to Silver Falls, drove to Mount Rainier, enjoyed nature at its finest. We seldom see many animals in Mt. Rainier national Park. It is so huge and this is a good thing. Years ago we camped in a place where the deer would enter tents and children would ride on them. Not a good scenario for  deer.
We did see one deer in the park and a field mouse entered our campsite. We also saw a deer on the way home near lake Meridian.
I'm posting a photo of the mouse, not a great photo as it kept scooting all over the place.
I'm also posting photos of people or events that seemed photo worthy.

Our camp site was very spacious.
Still wondering how this happened. It was a one-way road.
This was view from parking lot near the lodge.
I spotted this fern near Near Box Canyon. Very petite and seemed to be full grown.

Photos etc.

Do we look happy? We made it to the top of Hurricane Hill.....Now we
need to get back to the Visitors Center.

I was trying to get a photo of a very small chipmunk but it was too fast for me.
Notice the size of the tree...dwarfed by the cold weather.
The photo of us ( taken by a kind man) is misleading as we were in the midst of rocks.
