Mother to be Doe with Fawn aboard

Choose your own title. I'm not sure this doe is with child but when a doe is pregnant they act a certain way and this one fits the bill.
In any case I got a good shot and that counts for something.

I've been trying to get a decent photo of a butterfly but when I approach the tree they fly away. So this is from the kitchen window. Color not as vibrant as in person but still pretty.

The Graduation Party

We had fun at the party. John and Kelley did a fine job. Good place, good food, good people.
We had a chance to visit old friends and meet new ones. We are not used to having this much fun so got very little sleep that night. Too much excitement for the old couple.
There was also a little impromptu entertainment thanks to Zoe  and Christian. John Mackenzie was also very entertaining, when he brought his family forward to give a toast/roast. Very funny and sweet. He gave praise to Kelley for being an extraordinary mother. I agree!
John is a great Dad as well.

Beauty among the weeds

                              Mike created this for me. It pays to have a sheet metal man(or three) in the family.

Great Weekend...

Friday we attended the graduation of our Grandson Alex and  Grand-daughter Sami. They attended Kennedy. While graduations can be tedious, it is a necessary evil. Long, boring, except for all the adorable graduates. It was held in the gym which is not

so comfortable, especially when the weather is hotter than usual. That being said we were very proud of Alex and Sami and enjoyed seeing them receive diplomas. Also loved when all threw hats in the air. It was very difficult to take photos as people were swarming  to get to buses.
