Poor Little Nuthatch


Joe spotted a dead bird inside the feeder while another was enjoying the  sunflower seeds. How would you like to eat dinner under those circumstances?
I gave it a proper burial. Which means I gently tossed it into the woods.
Nature can be cruel!

The Rufous-sided Towhee was actually sitting right next to the deceased birdie.
Lets hope it was celebrating the life of the Nuthatch.

    Face it! Birds are heartless beasts. I know this because we used to have chickens. Little monsters in feathered form they were.
