A Treasure

While going through garden books, trying to find the name of a flower, I spotted this little treasure.

It is a book of  Mountain Flowers given to me by Liz and James in 1979.

TO A MOTHER WHO IS KIND AND WISE
WHO ALWAYS REMEMBERS WHEN SHE WAS OUR SIZE
SHE'S ALWAYS LOVING, LOYAL AND TRUE,
AND WITH THIS LINE, MY POEM IS THROUGH

Love,
Liz

More Spring Blooms

A rather sparse Trillium. Must be a rabbit, deer would've cleaned the plate!

A visit to Sign Management....John MacKenzie Owner

Since we were in the neighborhood  stopped for a quick visit to see John.

I looked for a hat or shirt for a photo.
Then I spotted this sign, meant for a house that is for sale. Couldn't find one that said "fixer upper"
so I went with this one for comic relief .

A Visit with Dr. MacKenzie

Today we stopped by to see the new office. Liz decorated the office in a way that would calm the senses.

Looks even better when you can see the head. Fire the photographer!

This is the door a person would be facing, so Liz made it more interesting.
I put this on twice so you could get a better look at the clock.

Looks much better in the office.

My turn for Treats

Once or twice a year choristers are asked to bring treats for choir.
I enjoy trying different foods for choir. Joe and I eat a simple faire so it is fun for me to explore the avenues of cookery.
The part that isn't fun is carrying all the food from the truck.

Today was a special day. The room was full of water. The janitor tried to mop it up but it didn't stop.
I guess the food was good since people didn't seem to mind getting their feet wet. It was like grabbing a bite before the ship sank.
Joe was nice enough to take a few photos.

Viva la Value Village

This morning Zoey and I drove  to Value Village to seek some treasures. I wasn't expecting much since yesterday was the last day of the 50% sale.
Zoey did well.
Please ignore the buckets on the deck!
