A poem by John L. Torlai

On the ninth of March nearing the end of the day
My wallet I took for some gas to pay
Puzzled I was but very happy that
The lettuce inside made it thick and fat.

But lo and behold this morning at three
as I was awakened by the urge to pee
I walked by the table and what did I see

A note, shell out you tightwad ,was the quote
and signed by your appreciative daughters three.

The moral I've learned is before your wallet gets thick
Be sure that you've paid Bobbe, Judy and Slick.

Note from Slick:
The money was our wages from our work at Pike Place Market for Dad.
