This has been an interesting week for my love of nature.

A Swainsons Hawk was sitting on the railing of the deck.

During the night a coyote chorale both excited and frightened me.
It was so loud I thought it might be on the deck. It was at least 3, maybe 4.

A few nights ago I heard a bird singing a five note song.
I listened to the song during the night.trying to identify the bird.
By morning I was a little suspicious that a bird would repeat the song 
at equal intervals all night.
It was the smoke alarm in the kitchen!!!!!!!
