As a child I loved to go to Nonna's to see her garden. I remember her sitting under the pear tree shelling peas, cutting the tips off the string beans, or peeling apples.
Joe & I had our best garden the year Corky dumped a load of chicken manure on our property. The tomatoes did especially well. Children all helped weed and harvest. It was a family affair.
I got one tomato this year, and it was icky.
ReplyDeleteNot a good year for tomatoes. I have a few ripening but I guess I don't have a lot of faith as I purchased some today at Costco.
